WORSHIPING GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH:

John 4:24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."


WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?


WE WORSHIP GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH.


Psalm 145:18 The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.


GOD IS NEAR WHO CALL ON HIM IN TRUTH.


John 4:23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.


GOD WANTS US TO WORSHIP GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH.


HOW DO WE WORSHIP GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH?


John 14:16- 20 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever--the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.


Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.


On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.


THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH REFERS TO THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHICH THE SON ASKS OF THE FATHER, TO GUIDE THE FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST.


BECAUSE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, THOUGH THE WORLD WILL NOT SEE CHRIST ANYMORE IN THE FLESH, THOSE WHO BELIEVE HIM AND COME TO ACCEPT HIM WILL SEE HIS PRESENCE, BECAUSE THOSE WHO HAVE ACCEPTED CHRIST BECOMES UNITED WITH CHRIST.


THEREFORE, IN THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH- THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE TRUTH, WHICH IS CHRIST ( John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.)
ONE CAN WORSHIP GOD IN TRUTH AND IN THE SPIRIT.


Romans 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.


THE HOLY SPIRIT INTERCEDES FOR US, FOR WE HAVE WEAKNESSES, AND EVEN IN OUR PRAYER WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT WE OUGHT TO PRAY. 


THE SPIRIT INTERCEDES ON OUR BEHALF WITH GROANS THAT WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS.

THESE ARE SOUNDS, INCOMPREHENSIBLE, WHICH WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS.
THE NEAREST EQUIVALENT IN THE PHILIPPINE ESOTERIC TEACHINGS FOR THIS TERM IS "INDAYOG" OR THE WAY OF PRONUNCIATION OF CERTAIN WORDS THAT CANNOT BE EXPRESSED IN THE WRITTEN LANGUAGE COMPLETELY.


1 Corinthians 2:13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.


THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE ONE WHO WILL TEACH US REGARDING SPIRITUAL TRUTHS IN SPIRITUAL WORDS. 


FOR THE SAME SPIRIT IS NEEDED TO INTERPRET THE WORDS OF GOD, NOT HUMAN WISDOM.


THEREFORE, TO WORSHIP GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH, WE NEED THE HOLY SPIRIT TO BE WITH US, TO INTERCEDE ON OUR BEHALF, AND THAT WE ARE UNITED WITH CHRIST JESUS.


Jude 1:20 But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.


IF WE PRAY, WE NEED TO PRAY IN THE HOLY SPIRIT.


THEREFORE, IT IS NECESSARY TO HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT WITH US TO BE ABLE TO PRAY AND WORSHIP GOD IN SPIRIT.


TO WORSHIP GOD IN TRUTH, WE NEED TO BECOME ONE WITH THE BODY OF CHRIST, SO THAT CHRIST, WHO IS TRUTH, WOULD MEDIATE FOR US TO THE FATHER, TOGETHER WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT.


THEREFORE, TO BE ABLE TO WORSHIP GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH, WE NEED CHRIST, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT.


HOW DO WE KNOW THAT CHRIST AND THE HOLY SPIRIT IS WITH US?


1 John 4:16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.


WE KNOW THAT GOD LIVES IN US AND WE LIVE IN GOD THROUGH LIVING A LIFE OF LOVE.


1 John 4:12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.


LOVING ONE ANOTHER IS A DEFINITE SIGN THAT GOD LIVES IN US AND HIS LOVE IS MADE COMPLETE IN US.


IN THE END, IT IS LOVE THAT REALLY MATTERS.


MAY WE LIVE OUR LIVES LOVING ONE ANOTHER.


MAY WE LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS CHRIST LOVED US.
