DO WHAT IS GOOD, TURN AWAY FROM EVIL

Proverbs 24:20 
for the evil man has no future hope, and the lamp of the wicked will be snuffed out.


IF A MAN IS EVIL, AND WICKED, GOD WILL EXTINGUISH THE REMAINING LIGHT HE/SHE HAS THAT HE/SHE MAY END UP IN SPIRITUAL DARKNESS.


Proverbs 11:20 
The LORD detests men of perverse heart but he delights in those whose ways are blameless.


GOD HATES THE PERVERSE OF HEART.
GOD DELIGHTS ON THOSE WHOSE WAYS ARE RIGHTEOUS.


Psalm 34:14 
Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.


WE ARE COMMANDED BY GOD TO TURN AWAY FROM EVIL, AND DO WHAT IS GOOD.
WE ARE ALSO COMMANDED TO SEEK PEACE AND PURSUE PEACE.
THEREFORE, A TRUE PERSON OF GOD SEEKS THE WAY OF PEACE AND NOT WAR.
A TRUE PERSON OF GOD TURNS AWAY FROM EVIL, AND DOES WHAT IS GOOD.


Philippians 2:4 
Each of you should look not only to your own interests, 
but also to the interests of others


THIS VERSE EMPHASIZE THAT WE NEED TO THINK ALSO OF OTHER'S INTEREST, AND NOT JUST OUR OWN.


Galatians 6:2 
Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.


THIS VERSE STATES THAT WE NEED TO HELP TO CARRY THE BURDENS OF ONE ANOTHER TO FULFILL THE LAW OF CHRIST.


CARRYING EACH OTHER'S BURDEN MAY ALSO MEAN THAT WE HELP OTHERS, ESPECIALLY THE LEAST OF OUR BRETHREN- TO FULFILL THE COMMANDMENT OF LOVE BY CHRIST.


James 4:8 
Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and 
purify your hearts, you double-minded.


THIS VERSE ADVISE US TO COME NEAR TO GOD, SO THAT GOD WILL BE NEAR TO US.
FOR SINNERS, THERE IS A NEED FOR REPENTANCE AND CLEANSING ONE'S WORKS AND LABORS- AS WORKS AND LABORS AND ACTIVITY PERTAIN TO OUR HANDS, WHICH NEEDS WASHING.


TO THE DOUBLE MINDED, WHO DOUBTS IN GOD, THERE IS NEED TO PURIFY THE HEART, SO THAT IT MAY BE PURGED FROM THE EVILS AND WICKEDNESS THAT MAY RESIDE IN IT.


THE PURIFICATION OF ONE'S HEART COMES WITH ACCEPTING GOD'S WORD, AND BELIEVING IN THE WORD OF GOD.


ONCE ANYONE OPENS THEIR HEARTS TO GOD, GOD WILL HELP THAT PERSON'S HEART TO CHANGE, AND TRANSFORM FROM A HEART OF STONE TO A HEART OF FLESH: FROM BEING A CALLOUS HEART, GOD WILL TRANSFORM THAT HEART INTO A MERCIFUL HEART, WITH FLESH, THAT FEELS AND SHARES COMPASSION WITH OTHERS.
