FORGIVENESS

ON FORGIVENESS:

Ephesians 4:32 
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

WE ARE FORGIVEN BY GOD THROUGH CHRIST'S ULTIMATE SACRIFICE, AND THUS, WE OUGHT TO FORGIVE OTHERS IN RETURN.

FORGIVENESS, COMPASSION, AND KINDNESS GO HAND IN HAND.

THESE VIRTUES COEXIST, AND THERE IS NO COMPASSION WITHOUT FORGIVENESS.

2 Corinthians 2:10
If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven--if there was anything to forgive--I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake,

AS FOLLOWERS OF GOD, WE NEED TO FORGIVE OTHERS, FOR THE SAKE OF OUR GOD.

AS WE HAVE RECEIVE FORGIVENESS, WE OUGHT TO FORGIVE ALSO.

John 20:23
If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."

AS CHILDREN OF GOD, OUR FORGIVENESS HAS THE POWER TO RELEASE OTHERS FROM THEIR SINS.

Matthew 6:14
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

AS WE FORGIVE OTHERS, WE ARE FORGIVEN ALSO.

Matthew 6:15
But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

IF WE DO NOT FORGIVE OTHERS, WE ARE ALSO NOT FORGIVEN.

Matthew 18:33
Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?'

WE OBTAINED MERCY FROM GOD THROUGH FORGIVENESS OF OUR SINS.
WE OUGHT TO BE MERCIFUL TO OTHERS AS GOD HAS BEEN MERCIFUL TO US.

James 2:13
because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment!

MERCY IS GIVEN BY GOD TO THOSE WHO ARE MERCIFUL.
JUDGMENT WITHOUT MERCY IS GIVEN TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE NO MERCY.

Matthew 5:7
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.

GOD SHOWS MERCY TO THE MERCIFUL.

Luke 6:37
"Do not judge, and you will not be judged.
Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned.
Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

WE ARE ADVISED NOT TO JUDGE OTHERS, FOR WE ALSO DESERVE JUDGMENT FOR OUR SINS.

WE ARE ADVISED NOT TO CONDEMN OTHERS, FOR WE ALSO DESERVE CONDEMNATION FOR OUR SINS.

WE NEED TO FORGIVE, SO THAT WE ARE ALSO BE FORGIVEN BY GOD FOR OUR SINS.

Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

WE ARE ADVISED TO BEAR EACH OTHER, AND FORGIVE EACH OTHER, JUST AS GOD HAS FORGIVEN US....

MAY GOD BLESS US AND FORGIVE US AS WE FORGIVE AND BLESS OTHERS....
