REGARDING RESPECT

THE LACK OF RESPECT OF OTHERS- WHERE IT WILL LEAD TO....

CONCRETE EXAMPLES WHERE LACK OF RESPECT OF OTHERS LEADS TO:

1. lack of respect for the unborn child in the mother's womb- leads to abortion

2. lack of respect for the infant- leads to cruelty to infants, and certain cases- infanticide

3. lack of respect for the child- leads to child abuse to child homicide/ child murder

4. lack of respect of adolescents- leads to adolescent abuse to adolescent homicide/ adolescent murder

5. lack of respect of adults- leads to human rights violation to homicide/ murder

6. lack of respect of elders- leads to human rights violation, deprivation of the elderly, abuse of the elderly, to homicide and murder of the elderly

7. lack of respect to the poor- leads to the abuse of the poor, persecution of the poor, deprivation of the poor, to even torturing of the poor, up to killing of the poor

8. lack of respect for the mentally ill- leads to abuse of the mentally ill, to deprivation, inhumane treatment, torture and even homicide/murder of the mentally ill

9. lack of respect for the disabled persons- leads to abuse/deprivation of the disabled person, unequal treatment of the disabled, persecution of the disabled, up to homicide/ murder of the disabled.

10. lack of respect of workers- lead to denial of adequate wages, lack of due process in termination, abuse of workers, underpaid workers, inadequate safety and conducive conditions of works, leading to illness of workers, lifetime disability, or even death of the worker.

11. lack of respect of the law and order- leads to anarchy, chaos, disorder, destabilization, revolution, collapse of government, and many killings.

12. lack of respect of property- lead to stealing, cheating, vandalism, destruction of property, and even killing to steal from others.

13. lack of respect of country- leads to war, violations of the rights of the citizens of that country, economic deprivation, trade embargo, economic sanctions, deliberate and forceful take-over, up to war and destruction of that country.

14. lack of respect of race- leads to racial discrimination, racial segregation, racism, up to genocide.

15. lack of respect of political views- may lead to political persecution, abuse, torture, and even killings.

16. lack of respect of religious views- may lead to religious persecution, insults, judgment of others, up to religious wars and killing for the sake of religion

17. lack of respect to one's beliefs- lead to discrimination, sanction, isolation, exile, to even death because of those belief.

LACK OF RESPECT LEADS TO DEATH TO ITS FULLEST EXPRESSION.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

THE WAGES OF LACK OF RESPECT IS DEATH IN ITS FULLEST EXPRESSION.
THEREFORE, LACK OF RESPECT OF OTHERS IS SIN.

CHRIST IS THE GIFT OF GOD.

BELIEVING IN CHRIST LEADS TO ETERNAL LIFE.

WHY SUCH A BELIEF LEADS TO ETERNAL LIFE?

1 John 3:23 
And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, 
and to love one another as he commanded us.

WHEN WE BELIEVE IN THE NAME OF CHRIST JESUS, WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
IT ALSO MEANS DOING WHAT HE COMMANDED US TO DO.

WHAT IS HIS COMMAND?

TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER

OTHER VERSES ABOUT LOVING ONE ANOTHER:

John 15:12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

Romans 12:10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.

Hebrews 13:1 Keep on loving each other as brothers.

1 John 4:21 And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

Luke 10:27 He answered: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

John 13:34 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

THE CENTRAL COMMANDMENT OF GOD IS LOVE.... LOVE OF OTHERS AS WE LOVE OURSELVES, AND THUS LOVING GOD, BECAUSE GOD COMMANDED US TO LOVE, AND BY LOVING OTHERS, WE FULFILL HIS COMMANDMENTS...

IS RESPECT PART AND PARCEL OF THE EXPRESSION OF LOVE?

YES....

AS MERCY, AND COMPASSION IS PART AND PARCEL OF THE LOVE OF OTHERS, SO IS RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER.

IF PEOPLE WILL NOT RESPECT EACH OTHER, THEN, WE DETACH OURSELVES FROM LOVE, AND THIS DISRESPECT LEADS TO THE OPPOSITE POLE OF LOVE, WHICH IS HATE.

1 John 3:15 Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him.

TO HATE ONE'S BRETHREN IS EQUIVALENT TO BEING A MURDERER.

WHY? BECAUSE WITH HATING ONE'S BROTHER, ONE IS ALREADY CONTEMPLATING IN ONE'S HEART THE EQUIVALENT ACTS OF VIOLENCE AND MURDER AGAINST THE ONE A PERSON HATES.

THE PERSON WE HATE, WE DO NOT RESPECT.... AND PERSONS WE DO NOT RESPECT, WE TEND TO ABUSE... AND PERSONS WE TEND TO ABUSE, WE TEND TO KILL IN IT'S FULLEST EXPRESSION....

WE DO NOT RESPECT PERSONS WE HATE....

PERSONS WE LOVE, WE RESPECT....

THEREFORE, RESPECTING OTHERS IS ONE OF THE EXPRESSIONS OF LOVING OTHERS... NOT BECAUSE THAT PERSON DESERVES OUR RESPECT, BUT BECAUSE WE RESPECT THE CREATOR OF THAT PERSON, WHICH IS GOD.

IN CONTEXT, WE DO NOT DESERVE THE RESPECT AND LOVE OF GOD, FOR WE FALL SHORT OF DOING WHAT THE LAW ASKS US TO DO IN ORDER TO BE RIGHTEOUS.

YET, GOD, CHOOSE TO LOVE US, AND RESPECT US....

THE FULLEST EXPRESSION OF GOD'S LOVE AND RESPECT FOR US IS IN GIVING HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON- WHO DIED FOR US, SO THAT EVERYONE MAY HAVE THE CHANCE TO BE RECONCILED WITH GOD, AND HAVE THE CHANCE TO GAIN ETERNAL LIFE.

DO WE DESERVE THIS KIND OF LOVE? NO
DO WE DESERVE THIS KIND OF RESPECT? NO

YET, EVEN IF WE ARE INDEBTED TO GOD SO MUCH, THAT THERE IS NO WAY OF PAYING UP OUR DEBTS TO HIM, GOD CHOSE TO FORGIVE US, PROVIDED THAT WE FORGIVE OTHERS WHO HAVE BEEN INDEBTED TO US....

THIS IS BECAUSE OF LOVE OF GOD FOR US....

ON OUR PART, AS PARTAKERS OF GOD'S LOVE, WE IN TURN MUST LOVE OTHERS...

TOGETHER WITH THAT LOVE IS THE RESPECT GOD WANTS US TO IMPART TO OTHERS...

MAY WE RESPECT OTHERS FOR THE LOVE OF OUR GOD AND FELLOWMEN...
